Beastmasters are rarely found in some villages (including lizard villages) on Expeditions 2-6, and allow the party to exchange Animal Teeth for a combat animal companion.
Each beastmaster will offer a selection of two or three animals, which depends on the biome. The animals in the first two slots are common and will always be offered, but the third slot will offer a random type of rare tiger (in non-arctic biomes) or have a 50-50 chance of offering a sabertooth or being empty (in arctic biomes).
Animal | Cost | Rarity | Conditions |
---|---|---|---|
Hyena | 5 | common | non-arctic biome |
Gorilla | 10 | common | non-arctic biome |
Tiger | 10 | rare (50% chance) | non-arctic biome |
White Tiger | 15 | rare (33,3% chance) | non-arctic biome |
Battle Tiger | 15 | rare (16,7% chance) | non-arctic biome |
Arctic Wolf | 5 | common | Arctic biome |
Polar Bear | 10 | common | Arctic biome |
Sabertooth Tiger | 15 | rare (50% chance) |

Note: There is a common misconception that the rarer tigers can only be found in specific types of worlds. This is not true - their availability depends on random chance.
