Charles Darwin is a beginner explorer. His exclusive perk Butterfly Enthusiast grants a minor advantage with butterfly hunting in Jungle/Prehistoric biomes.
His Shotgun makes for good hunting-strategy practice. Though it is a comparably unreliable (50% roll chance) weapon, it deals a powerful multi-target hit.
His party's combat dice advantages are also minimal, with one basic red die from his Scottish Soldier, and only one basic green from Darwin himself. Early battles are best avoided until more red/green dice companions can be acquired for a better combat team.

Charles Robert Darwin (12 February 1809 – 19 April 1882) was an English naturalist and geologist, best known for his contributions to evolutionary theory. He established that all species of life have descended over time from common ancestors, and published his scientific theory that this branching pattern of evolution resulted from a process that he called natural selection, in which the struggle for existence has a similar effect to the artificial selection involved in selective breeding.
